About Shabach Night

We are Heralds of God’s Glory, Hazans of His Praise, and an Army of Radical Worshippers, gathering from city to city to RAISE A LOUD SOUND OF PRAISE UNTO OUR KING — JESUS CHRIST.

“Shabach” is the Hebrew term for thunderous and triumphant praise. Psalm 145:4 (NKJV) states, “One generation shall praise (shâbach) Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Shabach signifies offering VIGOROUS, VICTORIOUS, AND VOLUMINOUS praise to God.

Shabach Night Event International is an annual, nondenominational, city-wide, all-night gospel music crusade hosted in various cities and nations by Bishop Duru Sunday Junior (The Philanthropist). As one of the largest, most renowned, professionally organized, and well-attended Christian music events, Shabach Night Event International showcases award-winning gospel music artists from across the country and enjoys steadfast support from churches, corporate organizations, and the government.

This extraordinary gospel music concert bursts with high praises, drastic miracles, prophetic prayers, and life-changing messages, bringing together thousands of people from all walks of life under the canopy of God’s presence. It is a night dedicated to giving God radical praise and immersing ourselves in worship, acknowledging and proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ over the nations and our lives. It is the convergence of God’s people to raise a loud sound of praise to our King — Jesus Christ.

We are a global movement on a mission to host God’s presence through high praises and intense worship. Our greatest dream and desire is to see people all over the world praising God. Psalm 66:4 (NLT) declares, “Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.”

A vision that began in Eziama Oparanadim Community, Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo State, the hometown of Bishop Duru Sunday Junior, had its first and second editions in December 2020 and 2021 respectively. Shabach Night Event has since taken a quantum leap and is fast becoming one of the biggest, most anticipated gospel music concerts.

On December 2, 2022, we held the Owerri Shabach Night Event (the 3rd edition) at Freedom Square, Owerri, Imo State. The event, attended by a large crowd, featured gospel artists including Peterson Okopi, Chinyere Udoma, Bishop Empraiz, Able Cee, Tonneil Avo, Ugee Royalty, Dynamite-Z, Ossy Okanume, Grace Factor, Stan Daniels, Lena Cee, Precious Oporomo, Dr. Jeph Nnadozie, and other anointed music ministers.

On Friday, December 8, 2023, the fourth edition, Aba Shabach Night Event, was held at the prestigious Abia State Polytechnic Aba and attracted thousands of attendees. This event was graced by Rev. Dr. Don Odunze, Rev. Dr. Elisha Anyanwu, Chinyere Udoma, Cornelius Benjamin, Israel Anyanele, Tonneil Avo, King Solomon, NK Jesus, Goldie, Prince Ebuka, Sini Dagana, Yadah, Minister Ibe, and Dynamite-Z.

This year’s OPEN HEAVENS edition, the Umuahia Shabach Night (5th anniversary), promises to be an electrifying and exhilarating experience in God’s presence.
